My Experience
I was on my way to Singapore to visit my friend Lax when, during my layover, he called to tell me his father needed an urgent favor. Some supplies for his construction company had to be hand-delivered to Cambodia because they wouldn’t arrive in time if they were shipped. So, just a couple of days after I landed in Singapore, he booked us flights to Phnom Penh.
It was only a quick overnight trip, but it became one of the most memorable detours of my journey. We visited several of Phnom Penh’s temples, wandered through lively street markets filled with everything from fried insects to grilled intestines, and even tried Cambodia’s infamous “weed pizza.” It was remarkable how many memories came from a trip that lasted only about 24 hours.
