My Experience
Trying to reach every country in Africa on a budget required a bit of creativity. While planning my route, I realized I could visit Botswana on a day tour from Victoria Falls in neighboring Zimbabwe. It was an efficient way to experience a country that would have otherwise required much more time and expense. After crossing the border into Botswana, we set off in a 4x4 through Chobe National Park. Throughout the day, we watched elephants crossing the river, giraffes wandering through the bush, crocodiles sunbathing along the banks, and countless birds overhead. Botswana felt peaceful, wild, and remarkably untouched.
