My Experience
Saudi Arabia marked my 100th country, making it one of the most meaningful milestones of my journey. I based myself in Jeddah and, thanks to the country’s new high-speed rail network, was able to visit both Medina and Mecca, Islam’s two holiest cities.
Medina stood out for its peaceful atmosphere, centered around the magnificent Prophet’s Mosque, the burial place of the Prophet Muhammad. Mecca was a completely different experience. Seeing thousands of Muslims from every corner of the world gathered around the Kaaba, united by a shared sense of faith and purpose, was unlike anything I’d ever witnessed. Reaching my 100th country in a place of such profound spiritual significance felt especially meaningful.
