My Experience
After an unforgettable time in Japan, South Korea had a difficult act to follow. While it didn’t quite reach the same level for me, I still thoroughly enjoyed visiting one of Asia’s most modern and dynamic societies.
I based myself in Seoul, where I reunited with my friend Alessandro, a tennis coach from my academy back home who happened to be working in Asia at the time. Together, we explored the city’s bustling markets, lively neighborhoods, and incredible food scene before visiting the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), the heavily fortified border separating North and South Korea. South Korea impressed me with how seamlessly it blends cutting-edge technology with centuries of tradition. Sharing the experience with a close friend made the trip all the more memorable.
