Vietnam

During the winter break of my freshman year of college, Vietnam was one of the stops on my journey through Southeast Asia. I spent several days exploring Ho Chi Minh City with Mia, an international student from the University of Miami who had grown up there. She showed me around her hometown, from tiny street food stalls serving incredible local dishes to lively nightlife districts filled with bars and backpackers from around the world. Ho Chi Minh City was busy, chaotic, and packed with motorcycles, yet somehow it never felt overwhelming. There was a rhythm to it all that I couldn’t quite explain. It was a feeling I encountered throughout much of Southeast Asia and one I wouldn’t forget.
