My Experience
My first visit to Austria was both brief and unusual. After my friend Sky drove us from his hometown of Zurich to Liechtenstein, we noticed the Austrian border was only 15 minutes away. So we crossed into the medieval town of Feldkirch and spent a couple of hours wandering its quiet streets. A year later, I returned to explore Vienna, one of Europe’s most elegant capitals. While its slower pace wasn’t quite my style, I could certainly understand why it’s consistently ranked among the world’s most livable cities. I’m glad I had the chance to experience two very different sides of the country.
