Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein is one of Europe’s smallest countries and, to be honest, isn’t known for having a long list of attractions. A Swiss friend of mine from the University of Miami, Sky, suggested I come to Zurich so he could show me around, then offered to drive us to Liechtenstein. Even though it was so close, he admitted he knew very little about the country. After looking up the top things to do on the drive over, we headed to a castle that we assumed was a tourist attraction. Instead, we quickly realized it was the private residence of the princely family, and the woman who spotted us outside gave us a look that made it pretty clear we should leave. The road trip with Sky ended up being more memorable than the destination itself.
