My Experience
As a huge EDM fan, I’d heard about Untold Festival in Romania, one of the largest electronic music festivals in the world, held each summer in the Transylvanian city of Cluj-Napoca. As my plane descended into the city, the festival was already underway. From my window seat, I could see the enormous main stage lit up and thousands of people already dancing below.
Festivals have a way of bringing strangers together, and Untold was no exception. I wove my way to the front of the main stage, where I met Jake and Adam, two travelers from Ireland, who immediately welcomed me into their group. As I’d come to learn from my travels, the Irish really are wonderful people. Together, we watched Armin van Buuren close out the festival with a legendary five-hour sunrise set that lasted until 8:00 a.m. That night reminded me that while incredible experiences like Untold draw us in, it’s the people we share them with who make them unforgettable.
