My Experience
I have no idea why it took me so long to visit Canada. It ended up being my second-to-last country in the Western Hemisphere, despite being right next door. During my seven-month MBA at the University of Miami, I finally took a long weekend to explore Montréal and Québec City. I loved the French influence, from the architecture and cafés to hearing French spoken throughout the streets. Just as I’d always heard, I found Canadians to be incredibly friendly and respectful, making the trip all the more enjoyable. One of the strange realities of trying to visit every country is that the order rarely makes sense. The fact that I visited Djibouti before Canada is odd, to say the least.
